MRCOG Part 3 is considered a golden qualification in the community of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. The MRCOG Part 3 Objective Structured Clinical Examination consists of 14 tasks in a circuit, each task based on one of the 14 modules detailed in the syllabus.

Dates To Keep In Mind

Aspirants have a time of 5 days to confirm their slots through the MRCOG Part 3 priority booking window. The booking window opened on 29 February 2024 and closes on Monday, 4 March 2024. Furthermore, the second window will be opening on 7 March 2024 and closes on 11 March 2024. The exam will be conducted on both 8, 9 May 2024 and 13, 14 May 2024, and the results will be announced by Wednesday, 12 June 2024.

MRCOG Part 1 & 2 JAN 2024 Exam Results To Be Announced Soon; Important Things to Take Note

The Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists (RCOG) has informed that the results of MRCOG Part 1 & Part 2 exams held in January this year will be out soon. As per the official notification from RCOG, the results of both MRCOG Part 1 and Part 2 exams will be announced by Tuesday, 13 February 2024. 

The exams were conducted on 16th & 17th of January 2024. Here, we will help you with comprehensive guidance on how to check your results and what’s the next step.

How to check your results?

Usually, RCOG announces MRCOG Part 1 and Part 2 results within a time span of six weeks. Once the results are declared, RCOG will directly email the exam results to passed candidates through their registered email IDs. The results will also be available in the exam hub of the official RCOG website. Results on the hub will include  details like pass mark, score, and pass/fail etc

How to apply for Revaluation?

Candidates can apply for the revaluation of exam results through the official RCOG website. However, the aspirants must ensure that they submit their appeals within the specified time period. Any appeal submitted after the deadline will not be reviewed unless there are highly extenuating circumstances.

What’s Next?

After successfully completing the MRCOG Part 1 exam, the candidates are eligible to apply for the MRCOG Part 2 exam. Similarly, after the first two steps of MRCOG examination, one can apply for MRCOG Part 3.

 Since MRCOG is a three-part exam, the only certification that the candidate receives after completing parts 1 and 2 is the part 1 or part 2 pass letter. The final certificate will only be issued after the completion of the first three parts.

MRCOG Part 1 Exam

MRCOG Part 1 is the first stage of the RCOG’s membership exam. The aim of this part is to assess the understanding of medicine in the basic and clinical sciences relevant to Obstetrics and Gynecology. MRCOG Part 1 comprises two papers, SBA paper 1 and SBA paper 2. Both are Computer-based tests (CBT). Each paper consists of 100 questions in  single best answer (SBAs) format.

What is the Expression Of Interest Form?

A candidate must submit a new Expression of Interest within the required deadline for each MRCOG Part 1 exam. Eligible candidates who have submitted an Expression of Interest will have an opportunity to book a place on the exam when the booking window opens.

How to Submit Your Expression of Interest Form?

You need to submit an Expression of Interest form within the stipulated time, available on the official website. Only afterward will you be able to book an exam when the window opens. While filling out the Expression of Interest form, it is the candidate’s responsibility to confirm that the email address and College account number they have filled in on this form are accurate and correspond to the information on their personal RCOG account. Make sure to type your email address carefully, ensuring there are no spaces at the start or end.

Eligible candidates who have successfully submitted an Expression of Interest form will receive an email on the opening of the application window with instructions on how to book an exam place at available Pearson VUE test centers.

Completion of an Expression of Interest form does not guarantee a place on the next exam. If any details provided in this form do not meet the requirements, you will not be eligible to book a place on the next exam. You will not be able to reserve a spot on the following exam if any of the information you enter in this form does not comply with this requirement.

MRCOG Part 1 Exam Pattern

Each paper receives the same number of points, so paper 1 receives 50% of the total, and paper 2 also counts for 50 per cent of the total marks. There are no minimum score requirements for both papers. A candidate’s overall mark is the only factor in determining the outcome.

MRCOG Exam Dates

According to the official website of RCOG, the MRCOG Part 1 exam will be held twice in 2024 in the months of January and July.

MRCOG Part 1 January 2024 Exam

The first MRCOG Part 1 exam will be held on Tuesday 16 January 2024. Booking window for application was opened on Tuesday 14 November 2023. Booking window for application was closed on Thursday 14 December 2023. The results of the exam will be released on Tuesday 13 February 2024.

MRCOG Part 1 July 2024 Exam

The second MRCOG Part 1 exam will take place on Tuesday 2 July 2024. Eligibility deadline of the exam is Friday 15 March 2024. Submission of expression of interest closes on Tuesday 23 April 2024. Booking window application opens on Tuesday 23 April 2024. Booking window closes on Thursday 30 May 2024 and the results will be released on Wednesday 31 July 2024.
