If you’re looking to confirm your seats for the upcoming MRCOG Part 1 exam, you must be well aware of the first step in your journey towards booking seats — completing your expression of interest form. Here, we will guide you on how to complete your expression of interest form.
MRCOG Part 1 is the first stage of the RCOG’s membership exam. The aim of this part is to assess the understanding of medicine in the basic and clinical sciences relevant to Obstetrics and Gynecology. MRCOG Part 1 comprises two papers, SBA paper 1 and SBA paper 2. Both are Computer-based tests (CBT). Each paper consists of 100 questions in single best answer (SBAs) format.
A candidate must submit a new Expression of Interest within the required deadline for each MRCOG Part 1 exam. Eligible candidates who have submitted an Expression of Interest will have an opportunity to book a place on the exam when the booking window opens.
You need to submit an Expression of Interest form within the stipulated time, available on the official website. Only afterward will you be able to book an exam when the window opens. While filling out the Expression of Interest form, it is the candidate’s responsibility to confirm that the email address and College account number they have filled in on this form are accurate and correspond to the information on their personal RCOG account. Make sure to type your email address carefully, ensuring there are no spaces at the start or end.
Eligible candidates who have successfully submitted an Expression of Interest form will receive an email on the opening of the application window with instructions on how to book an exam place at available Pearson VUE test centers.
Completion of an Expression of Interest form does not guarantee a place on the next exam. If any details provided in this form do not meet the requirements, you will not be eligible to book a place on the next exam. You will not be able to reserve a spot on the following exam if any of the information you enter in this form does not comply with this requirement.
