MRCOG Part 1 & 2 Exams: Deadline Approaching for Submission of Expression of Interest

Are you a medical candidate planning to book spaces for the upcoming MRCOG Part 1 & 2 exams? We have some relevant information for you. The deadline for the submission of Expression of Interest is fast approaching. The RCOG has confirmed 13 October 2023 as the last date for submitting Expression of Interest for both the MRCOG Part 1 & 2 exams. The exams will be held on 16 January 2024 and 17 January 2024 respectively.

MRCOG Part 1 exam is an assessment of the understanding of a medical candidate in the basic and clinical sciences relevant to Obstetrics and Gynaecology. MRCOG Part 2 exam assesses the application of your knowledge in clinical scenarios.

Any medical aspirant should go through a 3-part assessment to complete the membership exam. MRCOG Part 1 & 2 are the first two stages of the RCOG’s membership exam.

Submission of Expression of Interest is one of the important steps involved in the booking process for the exams.

Expression of Interest in Detail

To book into available spaces on the exam, candidates must complete an Expression of Interest form. Moreover, this should be done within the required deadline for each exam.

All you need to do is check the ‘Calendar and Fees’ section of the ‘Book an exam’ page for details of timelines for upcoming exams.

It should be noted that first-time candidates do not have to wait for the outcome of their MRCOG Part 1 eligibility application before submitting an Expression of Interest form.

However, they will only be given a chance to book a place once the window opens. In addition, their eligibility application form needs to be submitted before the required deadline. Lastly, it should also be approved.

A candidate must submit a new Expression of Interest Form ahead of each exam for which they need to book a place. Lastly, forms submitted for a chance to book a place on previous exams will not be considered.
