The Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) is a globally recognised benchmark of excellence in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology. By clearing this three-part examination, aspirants receive an endorsement of their knowledge and skills as expert obstetricians and gynaecologists.
The RCOG is scheduled to conduct the upcoming MRCOG Part 1 and Part 2 exams in July 2025. Before you begin the application process, read on to ensure you meet all the eligibility requirements to sit for the exam.
Eligibility Requirements for MRCOG Part 1
- Undergraduate Degree Required: You must hold an undergraduate medical degree to qualify for the MRCOG Part 1 exam.
- No Postgraduate Training Needed: Postgraduate training is not required to sit for the Part 1 exam.
- Eligibility Approval: First-time applicants must submit a complete eligibility application form and have it approved.
- Attempt Limit: You may attempt Parts 1 and 2 a maximum of six times combined.
Eligibility Requirements for MRCOG Part 2
- Pass in MRCOG Part 1: You must have successfully passed MRCOG Part 1.
- Submit Expression of Interest (EOI): You must submit your EOI form within the specified deadline.
- Fresh EOI Required: EOI forms from previous exam attempts will not be considered valid.
