The first wave of MRCOG Part 3 booking for the May 2026 exam has come and gone. For many, the Priority Window was very quick, leaving most of the candidates with a confirmed seat and some of them with nothing but an empty cart. Well, for those empty cart holders, the door is yet to be closed.

The RCOG is about to open the second booking window for the upcoming MRCOG Part 3 exam, and this window is their last gateway to the upcoming May 2026 diet. This guide is here to guide you through the booking process, so that you don’t get stuck and miss this opportunity you have.

The Second Booking Window Timeline

The RCOG operates a two-tier booking system to manage the high demand for the MRCOG clinical exam slots.

• The Priority Window (Closed): The Priority Window for the May 2026 exam officially opened on Mar 5, 2026 and opened on Mar 9, 2026. This window often prioritises candidates who meet specific criteria, usually related to their training stages or previous eligibility status.
• The Second Booking Window (Opening Soon): If you missed the 5 March deadline, do not worry. You still have an opportunity to secure your slot in the upcoming exam. The schedule for the second booking window is as follows:
• Open: Mar 12, 2026
• Close: Mar 16, 2026

Critical Note: The second window is the final gateway for the May 2026 exam diet for all remaining eligible candidates and operates on a strictly limited basis. Seats in popular global centres, such as London, Chennai, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore, often disappear within minutes of the portal opening. Missing this window effectively means missing the May 2026 exam diet.

Confirmed Exam Dates of the May 2026 Diet

As we all know, the MRCOG Part 3 is an OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) that is scheduled over two days for each candidate group. For the May 2026 exam diet, the following dates have been announced:

• Group A: 6 and 7 May 2026
• Group B: 11 and 12 May 2026

Your specific dates and venue details will be confirmed by the College once your booking is finalised and payment is processed.

How to Book Your Seat: A Step-by-Step Guide

• Ensure eligibility: Before booking your exam or receiving an invitation to book the exam, you must have your Assessment of Training (AoT) approved by the RCOG before the 22 January 2026 deadline. You should also make sure your email address and home address are all up to date.
• Keep an Eye Out for the Official RCOG Email: On March 12, all eligible candidates will receive an official email from the RCOG inviting them to book the upcoming MRCOG Part 3 exam. Begin the booking process the moment you receive this email.
• Access the Exam Candidate Portal: In your official email, the RCOG sends an invitation email containing the direct link to the booking portal.
• Select Your Test Centre: You will be prompted for a test centre. You can select up to three centres simultaneously to check for seat availability.
• Confirm Date, Time, and Payment: Once you select an available centre, you will choose your exam date and time slot. After choosing the date and time, you will proceed to check out. A seat is only “held” for a very short time during the transaction process. Ensure you have a credit or debit card with sufficient limits and eligible for international transactions.
• Receive Confirmation: Once the payment has been completed, you will receive an on-screen confirmation and a follow-up email from Pearson VUE/RCOG confirming your test centre.

What if You Miss the May 2026 Booking?

If by any mistake or unfortunate circumstances, you miss the Mar 16, 2026 deadline, don’t lose hope. The RCOG holds the MRCOG Part 3 exam twice annually, usually in May and November.

Although it may be disappointing to wait, the end result is an exceptional global career. If the May 2026 diet is no longer an option, shift your focus to the November 2026 diet, for which the priority booking window is expected to open on Aug 20, 2026.

• November 2026 Exam Dates: 4 and 5 November 2026/ 9 and 10 November 2026
