The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) has officially announced the exam dates for the MRCOG Part 3 in 2025. In order to guarantee a seamless examination procedure, candidates must be aware of the important dates and deadlines as they get ready for this significant milestone in their careers.

As in previous years, the MRCOG Part 3 exam will be conducted in two sessions in 2025, in May and November. The exams will be held at various locations in the UK and overseas. In 2025, the May session is scheduled for 14-15 May and 19-20 May, while the November exams will be held on 5-6 November and 10-11 November.

What is the MRCOG Part 3 OSCE exam?

The MRCOG Part 3 exam is the third and final step towards achieving RCOG membership. This Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) assesses candidates’ knowledge base and clinical prowess in obstetrics and gynaecology at an advanced level.

Mode of exam: Objective structured clinical examination

Number of stations and tasks: 14

Domain areas: Patient safety, communication with patients and their relatives, communication with colleagues, information gathering, and applied clinical knowledge

Exam duration: 12 minutes per station, including 2 minutes of initial reading
