An exciting update for MRCOG exam aspirants! The MRCOG booking window will open for the Jan 2026 diet of MRCOG Part 1 exam and MRCOG part 2 Exam on 21 October 2025. If you have already submitted your Expression of Interest for this diet, this is the time for you to gather your documents and stay alert for MRCOG booking to get a slot for Part 1 MRCOG and Part 2 MRCOG exam to be held on 14th January 2026 and 15^th January 2026 respectively.

Booking isn’t just a procedure before the MRCOG exam. Your eligibility and submission of Expression of Interest (EOI) does not mean you can sit for the Part 1or Part 2 MRCOG exam. MRCOG booking is a crucial step, because only if you could secure a slot, will you be able to attend the exam in this diet.

Who is Eligible for Booking MRCOG Part 1 and Part 2?

Candidates who are aspiring to sit for the MRCOG part 1 and Part 2 exam must hold a primary medical degree that is recognised by the General Medical Council (GMC), UK. The RCOG does not specify particular training requirements for Part 1 MRCOG exam.

To book your slot you must have already submitted the following at the stipulated time and got approved.

For MRCOG Part 1 Exam Booking:

• Candidates must have completed their Eligibility Application
• Candidates must have successfully submitted their Expression of Interest (EOI)

For MRCOG Part 1 Exam Booking:

• Candidates must have completed their passed their MRCOG Part 1 Exam and fall with the currency and attempts criteria as mandated by RCOG
• Candidates must have successfully submitted their Expression of Interest (EOI)

How to Book MRCOG Exam Slot?

In order to get a slot to attend the exam, candidates must complete the booking process on the official RCOG website, once the MRCOG booking window opens. Here is a step by step guide to booking MRCOG Part 1:

•  Visit the RCOG Website: https://www.rcog.org.uk and Log in to your account.
  If you have already sat for the exam or made a booking before, you can log in with the same account. If you are in for the first time, create a new RCOG account.

• You will be navigated to the RCOG Exam Candidate Portal. Here, you can book available test centre spaces. The website will by default show Pearson VUE test centres that are nearest to your registered address. You can search and change it, if required and book your slot.

Note: Slots for both MRCOG Part 1 and MRCOG Part 2 exams are limited and the website books a slot for the candidate on the first-come, first-served basis. Therefore check the availability and book immediately to ensure that you don’t miss the chance this time.

Before the MRCOG booking window opens, make sure you take note of these common but crucial points:

• Try to book using a desktop or laptop, rather than a mobile phone for easier navigation.
• Ensure that you have stable internet connection much before you sit down to book MRCOG 1 and MRCOG 2 slot.
• Keep a check on the booking opening time, and make sure you take the action right on time.
• Keep your card and payment details handy
• Ensure that you have used the same personal details such as your name and your address as that of your RCOG account details.
• After booking, check your email for MRCOG Part 1 and Part 2 booking confirmation from RCOG. If you wish to sit the MRCOG Part 1 or Part 2 exam in January 2026, make sure that you don’t miss the booking. The MRCOG booking window shall be open till 9th December, 2025. However, you shouldn’t procrastinate with your MRCOG booking process. Seats fill up fast and the faster you book your slot, the better are the chances for confirmation.
