The MRCOG Part 3 results are out. For the candidates who sat in the exam hall in November 2025, attending the 14 demanding stations that assessed everything from communication skills to emergency management, the big reveal has happened. The MRCOG Part 3 is a challenging exam, with pass rates typically around 60-70% for first-time attenders. If you’ve put in the work, practising role play, mastering difficult topics, including speculum and PPH protocols, you’ve already shown exceptional dedication. Step-by-Step Guide to Checking Your MRCOG Part 3 Results

The results are only published on the RCOG exam portal. In case you haven’t checked yours yet, here is a quick guide:

• Check Your Email Notification: You will receive an automated email to your RCOG-linked email address from RCOG. The email usually arrives at 10:00 AM UK time on the result release date. If it doesn’t appear in the primary folder, double-check your spam or junk folder. If the result does not appear after one hour, contact the RCOG exam portal with your candidate number.
• Log In to the RCOG Website: Visit the official RCOG website, navigate to the “My RCOG” section, and log in using your registered email and password. If you don’t remember your details, you must use the reset option, not create a new account.
• Access the Exam Candidate Portal: Once you have logged in, navigate to your dashboard, look for the “Examinations” section, and select “Exam Candidate Portal.”
• View Your Results: In the portal, select the “Results” tab. Once you click it, your result will be displayed, clearly stating a PASS or FAIL, along with your score out of 280. The results will also display station and domain breakdowns.
• Download Your Official Letter: After viewing your result, you can download it in a PDF format, which is the standard format for job applications, visa processes, or speciality training.

The whole result viewing process only takes about five minutes once you have logged in.

What if You Passed? Celebrate and Plan Ahead

Congratulations if you’ve finally made it after all your hard work and sleepless nights! You are finally eligible to apply for the full MRCOG membership. Submit your application via the RCOG portal within six months. The application must include your CV, references, and proof of good standing. Membership opens doors to advanced training, international opportunities, and the title.

What If You Didn’t Make It? It’s Not the End

Remember, failing is never the end. Even the most studious candidates have retaken the exam. If you didn’t make it this time, analyse the part where you were weak and work on it even more. If you didn’t make this diet, you can attend the next diet, which is scheduled for May 2026. Prepare with more mocks, better time management, and focused drills on high-yield topics.
